The industry and construction sector in the lasi urban area represents 18% from the total number of businesses, A little below the national average of 20%. In spite of this, the construction and industry sector produces 44%of the total urban turnover and generates 43% of the total working places, 1% above the national average. This suggests that the secondary sector in the lasi urban area creates added value. The lasi County has a number of sectors with great innovation potential, like ITC, consulting, engineering or medicine. All these are well represented locally and can become important sources of endogenous technological changes in the future. The concept shows a new approach for public spaces, the cohesion between cars, public transport and most dedicated to pedestrian use and interests. No more “artery”, but spaces outlining human need in their relationship with the city, generating high quality standards for its users. This is what urban reconfiguration and regeneration is all about.
